Who is behind Select Living?
Select Living was founded in 2024 by three friends – united by a passion for architecture, design and the idea of making custom-made products more accessible.
A joint project became a mission: to design spaces that radiate tranquility, have a clear appearance, and are uncompromisingly high-quality.
Together, we work every day to get the best out of the IKEA systems – with genuine carpentry quality, custom-made in Germany.

Our furniture is made entirely in Germany – in a family-run carpentry workshop in the heart of the Ruhr region. For over 30 years, high-quality, custom-made furniture has been manufactured there, now supported by state-of-the-art CNC machines and precise manufacturing technology.
This combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern production enables the highest quality, durable materials, and workmanship that you can see and feel. We consciously avoid mass-produced goods, cheap panels, or compromises in material and construction – every component is individually manufactured for your project.

Our production in Germany and our clear specialization in IKEA upgrades such as PAX, BESTÅ, PLATSA and METOD allow us to work particularly efficiently. Established processes, modern machinery and our digital 3D planner ensure that planning and production seamlessly integrate.
This allows us to respond quickly to individual requests, produce precisely tailored pieces, and deliver significantly faster than traditional joineries – without compromising on quality or material selection. Sustainable materials and precise manufacturing are always our top priorities.

Here we present Select Living as it was intended: high-quality materials, genuine custom-made products and personal advice on equal terms.
The showroom is another step towards strengthening our proximity to customers and making individual living solutions tangible.

Establishment of the Select Living brand
The idea for Select Living arose from a simple problem: standard furniture quickly reaches its limits.
After months of development, countless prototypes and close collaboration with the carpentry workshop, a separate brand for high-quality, custom-made IKEA upgrades was created.
2024 marks the official market launch of Select Living – with the aim of rethinking fitted wardrobes and making quality visible.
